Arguably one of the most important punk rock albums of the last decade, Virginia's PG.99 shine their brightest here in the finest 27 recorded minutes of their much heralded existence. With a plethora of releases only rivaled by their staggering eight member status, PG.99 managed to amalgamate almost every heavy-music genre into a tornado of punk rock fury. Not punk in a mohawk-mania sense, but with the unbridled raw spirit of youthful rebellion and passion. As one of the only recent bands to exist with a true sense of danger, "Document #8" is PG.99's opus to aggressive and creative music.

REVIEWS:
All Music Guide (Blake Butler)
Pg. 99 has erupted in fans' faces once again, with the eighth document of face-ripping, hardcore noise chaos, this time even darker and more articulate than their previous far-above-par releases. This is the kind of punk rock that curdles your skin and pushes your teeth through the roof of your mouth, something that wakes you up to just how raw and passionate music can be. Some of their best work to date lurks in the black here, including "In Love With an Apparition" and "Ballad of Circling Vultures." There is an edge here that juts above other screamy-hardcore records, something that sticks into the flesh of your stomach and refuses to relent. |
