For those not fimiliar, be warned. THE FLYING WORKER are a pure definiation of discord. A commotion of manic guitars, demonic drumming, and bellowed vocals comparable to bands like ORCHID, REVERSAL OF MAN, and AN ALBATROSS. This three inch CD compiles the 10 tracks output by the French outfit on their demo, s/t 7", and splits with SEVEN FEET FOUR and THE DEATH OF ANNA KARINA. This collection CD turned out to be the band's full discography, after they broke up shortly after its release.

Alternative Press Magazine issue #194

Maximum Rock N Roll issue 257 (Vince Horner)
Screamy, Chaotic hardcore like the French are known for, except more Song Of Zarathustra than Fingerprint. Ten spastic tracks that would have been called "Emo-Violence" eight years ago. Definitely an Orchid/Reversal Of Man similarity, but not at all stale or contrived. Its hectic, intense, and sounds great. This 3" CD compiles 7" and demo tracks. Fans of the genre won't be disapointed.

Deep Fry Bonanza (Daniel)
More solid, old-school-flavored screamo from the Electric Human Project. Unlike a lot of recent screamo-inspired groups, the Flying Worker don’t fiddle around with grunge, indie rock or any other styles, they just pay the operatic, almost grandiose screamo game like few other bands are able to play it. This little 3" CD is packed with eighteen minutes of layered instrumentation, crazy vocals, dramatic crescendos and hypnotic quiet parts: in other words, everything you expect from a great screamo release. It may be somewhat of a formula at this point, but this French band runs through the formula with style and passion, which is pretty much all I want in a band.

Impact Press issue #52 (Sean Helton)
The latest review I'm doing for this issue is a heaping helping of emo-core for The Flying Worker. It's loud and at times is pure noise, but that's what it's supposed to be. Some songs start out slow and build into a crushing crescendo, while others begin full-tilt and drift into a calm intermission before launching back into the aggression. This is very intriguing and I guarantee you don't hear music like this very often... Try it out.
